THE CURATORIAL
THE EXHIBITION AS ART OBJECT
Andrew collaborates with visual and performing artists on exhibitions, books, performances and experiments that sit in between. In 2023, Andrew curated ‘Decadence, Now.’ the debut project and exhibition by City of Art which brought together historical artefacts from across Europe together with commissioned new contemporary artworks. In 2022, he curated ‘Experiments in Entropy’, an exhibition at Valletta Contemporary investigating entropy through the lens of ten of Malta’s youngest generation of architects, and published Stories of Home. Previous project have included solo shows for artists Ġulja Holland, Tina Mifsud, and architecture projects ‘Antiporta: A Fading Negotiation’ with Chris Briffa Architects in Venice, and ‘Chalet in Action’ with Nidum in Moscow. Andrew is currently working on a research curatorial project into Modernist Artist Frank Portelli supported by Arts Council Malta.

communicating with vision
Andrew works closely with institutions, creatives and brands on art advisory and communication, creative direction, and cultural strategy and vision. He has worked closely with Luke Azzopardi, Camilleri Paris Mode and others, and is currently engaged with the office of the Archbishop’s Delegate for Culture in Malta. Andrew has developed stories for artists like The New Victorians, Marija Grech and Alexandra Alden.
RESEARCH
THE POLITICs of space
Since 2022, Andrew is a visiting design tutor for students of the Masters in Architecture at the University of Malta. He has previously presented a paper titled ‘Barra! - Agency for Public Resistance at the Parliament of Malta’, with Michael Zerafa at a conference on Parliament Buildings at the Bartlett, UCL in 2021. His research features investigations into politics, trauma, architecture, nostalgia and their intersection.
ARCHITECTURE + bespoke
THE PERSONAL AS AN INVESTMENT
Andrew works in both architectural theory and practice. He has designed for theatre, opera, fashion and intimate interior architecture interventions. Andrew works closely with fabricators, clients and suppliers on bespoke furniture and product design projects. Andrew is a co-founder of bloc, a creative collective he set up with Nick Theuma and Mike Zerafa in 2016.
